Kimono Season

This exclusive kimono from Zara is the must have item in your closet this season. This kimono will give you a great sense of style and will make you feel like a true city gal.

The kimono was paired up with denims from Urban Outfitters, mules from John Camuto, my ultimate favorite yellow shades for only $5 dollars, and a super cute nude Zara bag.

Sunshine in the City

Just when the weather begins to improve in the city, I bring out my all time favorite one piece romper from just $99 dollars

For curvy women, one piece sets accentuate your waist in a way that is sexy and “in style”. Bring out your curves and your sense of femininity this summer with a one piece set.

I paired this style with with taupe mules sandals. Let's just say mules are the most comfortable shoes on earth!

If you've been thinking about purchasing a pair of mules, definitely consider Sam Edelman. Mules from this brand not only look good but they feel good too. Comfort and style, the best of both worlds.

Zara- My all time favorite, and the price point is just right.

Sam Edelman- Has a great variety of mules in all different styles, and colors.

Fashion In Los Cabos

Fashion In Los Cabos
I can’t miss out on the fashion.

For the most part, I traveled with off the shoulder tops and my all time favorite floral bag from it was just right under $60.

My favorite bathing suit is
from and is also under $60. I absolutely love the way that this particular one piece suit made me feel elegant, yet oh so sexy.

Los Cabos Mexico

Los Cabos Mexico

Cabos is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The people like to say “No bad days in Los Cabos”.I can definitely agree that the laid back feel of this place, makes every day great. Not to mention, Cabo is one of the sunniest locations in the world, with about 320 days of sunshine a year!

If you've ever imagined a perfect vacation where the sea and the desert meet, Cabo San Lucas is the perfect destination for you, as it was for me.

My experience in Los Cabos was not only relaxing but also quite a thrill. I participated in activities such as zip lining over the desert, driving an ATVs, and even partying on a yatch with other happy travelers! I especially loved fine dining and just simply indulging in the beautiful Mexican culture around me.

I could not miss out on visiting the the most famous “El Arco” , which is a unique rock formation right at the tip of Cabo San Lucas shaped like a beautiful arch. The best part is that you can visit the arch riding on adorable little boats called water taxis, and they only cost about $10 to $15 per person.

You can also choose to participate in a boat ride in which you'll visit "El Arco", Lovers Beach, and "Divorce Beach", followed by a delicious Mexican dinner. It is a 5 hour ride in the middle of Cortez and Pacific ocean. I definitely recommend this excursion for couples and lovers as it is very romantic.

If you're like myself, a person who loves nature and adrenaline rushes, head to the desert for more exclusive activities, such as horse back riding by the beach, driving the ATVs, Zip lining and more. Many of these activities will cost you between $100 to $160 dollars per person.

For those of you who are convinced to go, here are a few tips:

Definitely buy your activities once you get to the city as oppose to purchasing them on a website from home. You can bargain your prices depending on the company or receive special promotions based on the date & hotel/resort you're staying in.

I also recommend to experience the Mexican culture outside the touristic areas. Mexico is filled with beautiful art, beautiful people, and the food is filled with flavor and spices worth a taste.

You can’t miss out on taking a shot of tequila at a nearby “Cantina” Mexican bar. A pure shot will cost you roughly about $3 dollars. Definitely worth your penny, watch out with more than two! Don't forget to to toast Mexican style ¡Arriba, abajo, al centro, pa' dentro!

I visited a town called Todos Santos and The Balandra Beach. It's about a 2 hour away from Cabo San Lucas. I must say, the ride was definitely worth my time, as it is an amazing beach right in the middle of the desert.

The Launch

My Name is Florangel Rodriguez. Now, I know what you're thinking, where the heck does this name come from? Nope, it's not a blend of my mother's and father's name, and no, I'm not named after a strange tropical plant. This odd sounding, yet totally fabulous name says more about me than you may think.

I come from a place I like to call, the MOST beautiful island in the world, the Dominican Republic. A  country with struggles, but filled with flavor! The food, the people, the music. It's all about Sabor! Soy Quisqueyana, y siempre llevare a mi tierra tanto en mi hombre como en mi corazon.

NYC became my home town in 1994 when I was only a year old. I grew up on the Westside of Harlem, surrounded by diversity, culture and art. I am humbled and honored to credit this neighborhood as the village that raised me. Everyone there was different, everyone stood out. I spent a lot of time as a child observing street fashion, deciphering what I like and what I didn't, and creating my own sense of style.

23 years later, I am a full woman, a proud Latina, fierce lover, sister, daughter, boss, dreamer, blogger, traveler, and fashionista.

Here I share my passion for Fashion, Interior design, and this wonderful city, along with what the world has to offer.
